Mysterious Side of Flaming Gorge

An ominios hum arises from the deep.  The turbines of the Flaming Gorge Dam run, and you can feel lit in your chest.  You descend over the wall to the great precipice, knowing it drops to a rumored depth of 400 feet.  Staying well within you dive depth limits at altitude, you swim along the wall just above the thermocline that offers an ice-cream headache level of 47 degree water in the heat of summer. Scuba diving among mysterious wreckage beneath Flaming Gorge reservoir is a fantastical experience of unexpected sights with surprisingly clear water.  Sights include logs, ropes, pipe, smallmouth bass, crawdads and the perhaps the largest fishing line graveyard you can imagine in Wyoming and Utah.
